Welcome back and Happy New Year.
I hope everyone had a wonderful and joyous holiday season.
Now that Christmas vacation is over, we will be getting back into the swing of things. Before the holiday excitement started, the children had been working hard on learning how to write their first name as well as recognizing letters, shapes, numbers and letter sounds. Our hard work will continue into January however, learning the new letters U,V, and W. Any help you can give your child at home will be very helpful to them in the classroom. I know they are up for the challenge.
Our new country for this month is China. We will be talking about the Year of the Ox and other Chinese customs. The students will be making lanterns to ring in the Chinese New Year.
This month we will have a Pajama day and Wacky Wednesday. So we should have a good time!
